What can I expect in the first session?

 

During the first session we will explore together what concerns you and how we can work together. We would discuss and agree the terms of our contract, including confidentiality.

You will have an opportunity to speak with me in person and ask all the questions you have. It is vital that you find the right psychologist and the approach that best suits you and your goals.

 

 

How do I know if it is helping me?

 

After a few sessions you might feel better because naming a burden can be therapeutic in itself. However, especially if you are exploring traumatic experiences, the process can also bring up uncomfortable memories, emotions or flackbacks.

 

All of these insights are really important and when you feel ready, we can build up a safe space where you will receive support while processing them.

 

 

How I Work

 

During the first appointment, we will discuss what concerns you and what we can do to support your healing process. We will work together dynamically to reach the goals that you have established. We will explore short-term and long-term interventions, based on your lifestyle, needs and goals.
