ETHICAL STANDARDS

 

The HCPC is a professional body which represents the interests of the psychology profession and sets standards of ethical and professional practice to which all counsellors and therapists must adhere. As a member of this organisation, I therefore adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in and its Professional Conduct Procedure.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY

 

You can be assured that what is discussed during our sessions will remain strictly confidential. The only exceptions to this would be if I believe you or anyone around you is in danger or at risk. If this were the case, I would always discuss the matter with you first.

 

To make sure that my work reflects the HCPC ethical code, I work closely with a supervisor.

During my supervision sessions, I may make reference to some of our work. However, your identity will always remain undisclosed and whatever is discussed will be in your best interests and for your benefit.
